Ximena Hartsock is a researcher, Doctor in Policy and Founder of Phone2Action, a comprehensive digital engagement and communications technology platform for public affairs,and government relations. Prior to this, she managed outreach advocacy for a national advocacy organization, where she ran hundreds of campaigns across the United States. She has also held numerous leadership positions in Washington, DC, including spending time as a public school Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Schools, and Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation. In 2009 she was appointed to the Executive Cabinet of Washington, DC Mayor Adrian Fenty. She is a member of the Consumer Technology Association Board of Industry Leaders, the Board of Directors of the Washington Economic Club, the Board of Advisors of the Migration Policy Institute, the Board of Directors of DCVOTE and the Board of Advisors of the Gender and Policy Center. A native of Chile, she holds a Doctorate in Policy Studies from the George Washington University and resides in the DC metro area.
